Here's what's going on in my community.....

Two neighborhood boys decided to spread some cheer and positivity by creating chalk drawings on driveways and sidewalks.  They started with their own driveways.  Using social media (Facebook and Nextdoor App) to share their images, they asked if others wanted to participate.  I signed up!  Why not?  What a great way to create and share a message of hope.

HELP MAKE MASKS

COTTON MASKS w/ filter pocket  (easy sew)

STAFF AT HHS NEED THEM TOO!!!  Not everyone who is coming in contact with the public has a mask

Here are a few that I made for my family and neighbors.  The first one took me just over an hour!  By the 5th one, I had it down to about 20 minutes. I found the easiest one to make is the cotton mask linked here. An old, 100% cotton dress shirt works very well.  The black and white fabric photographed here is 100% cotton as well, but it was left over fabric that I had when recovering a couple of outdoor chairs and it is very thick!  They all have a pocket for a filter.
