COLLEGE / CAREER SUPPORT
I never work in isolation. You shouldn't either. I frequently team up with other stakeholders to enhance student success. Make sure you are well-connected. Ask me how! |
Being a high school student presents unique challenges that may require emotional support. Sometimes you need someone who will listen. Someone who has two ears and one mouth! I frequently use Solution Focused Brief Counseling strategies to help you find your "happy place." You might hear me say, "Do more of what works and less of what doesn't." It's all about finding your balance and keeping your balance.
A special thank you to Dr. Russ Sabella, Professor, Department of Counseling in the College of Health Professions & Social Work, Florida Gulf Coast University and President of Sabella & Associates. I recently attended one of his workshops entitled "Working with Anxious Children and Teens: Strategies and Best Practices." Dr. Sabella has shared all of his resources at no charge to all Professional School Counselor. HOW TO REACH MEYou can reach me by email at lesley.morter@hcps.net or you can call 272-3006 ext. 298.
